It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of our School Principal Mrs. Helen Heckman. We have been greatly blessed by her leadership, and will miss her friendship and the love she generously shared with our students. Please keep her family in your prayers.
As a school we are currently raising funds to donate to our St. Bartholomew School Endowment Fund in honor of Mrs. Heckman. She created the Endowment Fund last summer to provide our school an annual stable source of income. We have a St. Bartholomew parishioner willing to match up to $3,000!
Helen Heckman was our Principal for the past 7 years. Under her leadership the school has excelled in Catholic Identity, Academic Excellence and Community Involvement.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Thursday March 4th a very special day. As a school community we celebrated Mrs. Heckman.
Thank you to Mrs. Tyler's 1B class for hosting Mass and thank you to St. B's alum Molly Hotek for singing at Mass. Thank you to the Student Council & Grace McMahon, Mrs. Claudia Jackson and Mrs. Diana Graman for sharing their memories of Mrs. Heckman. Thank you to PTO & parents for donating the snacks for our Reception. It was a wonderful day remembering Mrs. Heckman.
"Our son transferred from public school to St. Bartholomew at the beginning of 5th grade. At that time, it was clear to us that he needed more of a school 'community' than he was getting in public school. We toured St. Bartholomew and he just felt at home there. From the first few days at St. B's, we knew we made the right decision. Teachers and staff were extraordinarily responsive and everyone looked out for him and helped make the transition a smooth one. There are a lot of wonderful things that stand out about St. Bartholomew. The staff cares about the education, faith and well being of every student. It is evident in everything they do. And the kids respond in turn."

"We have a son who is a St. Bartholomew School alumnus and a daughter who currently attends. Our children have very different learning styles and needs. For one child school work comes easily and for the other it has been more of a challenge. The staff at St. B’s meets each child where they are and actively participates in challenging and engaging students at the necessary level. We feel like we have a team of people behind us in regards to our children’s education. We also love the faith and service-based model of the school. Our children have learned to think outside of themselves and develop empathy for others. We could not recommend this school more."
