On Friday May 11th, we had a visit from Molly Connor, a St. Bartholomew alum, who is a 2018 500 Festival Princess. She visited the 4th grade classes and gave them some history on the Indianapolis 500 Race. Molly is a recent graduate of Indiana University. She shared with the 4th grade students that in order to apply to be a princess you have to be involved in lots of leadership activities and have good grades. Molly clearly the exceeded the criteria – she was vice president of the IU student body, past president of her Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, and she graduated with a 3.7 grade-point average in just three years with a degree in public management and leadership. She plans to attend law school in the fall after a summer internship with Goldman Sachs. Molly also brought a Festival Pace Car with her to St. Bartholomew, and all of our students were able to visit with Molly and take a class photo with her and the car. Molly’s sister and dad came along, and they all visited with teachers they remembered and shared some favorite stories from their time here. Believe it or not, Molly said her dad saved her Kindy 500 car in the attic all these years! She will be returning the day of our Kindy 500 so that she can join in our festivities. Congratulations Molly on a job well done!
